CMRF want to give sick children the best chance possible. Children are sick – right now. Their illnesses ignore time and circumstance. Their battle for wellness won’t wait until tomorrow. The good folk at Crumlin have already started to build and renovate facilities for cardiac and cancer patients but they need our help.
A further €4 million is needed to complete the construction so that sick kids can get the care they deserve. With your help, patients can expect world class facilities by Summer 2013.
100% of proceeds raised by #Urbun2013 will go to the CRMF.
Urbun Cafe is excited to announce a collaboration with top chefs Yannick Van-Aeken and Louise Bannon. For two nights only, the renowned duo will dish up a once-off five course meal in the suburban cafe.
Yannick and Louise have spent the past five years in the acclaimed Copenhagen restaurant, Noma, winner of the ‘World’s Best Restaurant’ award for three years running and proud owner of not just one but two Michelin stars. They are now touring Ireland, staging exclusive pop-up dining events on a restricted basis.
The dining event, for two nights only on the 16th and 17th of December from 8 p.m., will demonstrate Yannick & Louise’s exceptional cooking skills and passion for food using locally sourced produce.
Yannick and Louise have already produced outstanding results with recent pop-up dining events in both Kai Restaurant in Galway and Ballymaloe House in Cork. For their inaugural pop-dinner in Dublin, Urbun Cafe was an obvious choice of venue.
Nestled in the heart of Cabinteely Village, Urbun’s quirky and laid back style provides the perfect backdrop for this unique experience. Their ethos, reflecting Yannick & Louise’s own philosophy, is all about using locally sourced seasonal produce and quality ingredients to create tasty and hearty meals.
The five-course menu is priced at €80 per person and will include an aperitif, snacks and petit fours. Wine is not included but will be available on the night as selected by Yannick and Louise at specially discounted prices.
For reservations, call Urbun on 01 2848872
Please not that due to anticipated high demand, places are extremely limited and booking is therefore absolutely essential. A credit card will be required at the time of booking and a cancellation policy will apply.
About Urbun:
Located in the heart of Cabinteely Village, Urbun is a hip yet wholesome suburban cafe.
Whether you’re hankering after a hearty meal, an indulgent homemade sweet treat or just want a really great cup of coffee, Urbun is open and smiling seven days a week.
A daytime cafe, Urbun is all about great food using nothing but the best locally sourced seasonal produce.
Owned by two trendy twenty-somethings, Katie Gilroy and Niamh Browne, Urbun first opened its doors in February 2010. Both die-hard foodies, (in a previous life Katie was the food editor of Totally Dublin and Ballymaloe - trained Niamh cut her teeth working in the London cafe scene), their inaugural project together was selling baked goods at a weekend farmers’ market in Dublin.
